Strain September was a social-first campaign that I created, developed and executed on in the image of March Madness. Functioning as a single elimination tournament between 32 cannabis strains, Lift & Co. users and social media followers voted for their favourite strains via Instagram Story and Twitter Polls. One lucky winner won a cannabis prize pack courtesy of AHLOT, BRNT, Arizer and Lift & Co.
Objectives
- Conversion: Email subscribers via compliant, age-gated landing page 
- Follower Growth: Specifically on Twitter and Instagram 
- Engagement: In the form of votes cast on social media 
- Licensed Producer (LP) Partner Engagement: Via promotion through their own channels 
Results
- 478 new email subscribers in 8-day period 
- 317 new Instagram followers and 199 new Twitter followers in 8-day period 
- 6,600+ votes cast across Instagram Story and Twitter Polls by Lift & Co. social media followers 
- 10 licensed producers (LPs) engaged in promoting contest via owned social media and digital platforms 
- 116,000+ campaign impressions 
- 100+ unique social media posts shared across Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn 
- 119 email subscribers converted to Lift Rewards members
